The Sunriver New-Build Project

The best way to build a new home is to get a designer involved from the start.

Our clients shared their plans so that we could review, and they had the layout just right, specific to their wants and needs. Getting  a second set of eyes on the project, however, allowed us to share a few little tweaks to make the home even better.

We wanted to focus on the modern mountain retreat vibe they were wanting.  Our design took into the consideration that this will be the family's second home, but also a luxurious vacation rental in Sunriver.  With this in mind, we decided to incorporate a lot of renter proof built-in's, including easy to use open shelving, banquet seating, and hanging lights that can't topple over and break. We concentrated on putting our budget towards permanent fixtures of the home, such as quality appliances, cabinets, flooring, doors, windows, and the finish trim details that will provide warmth and character.  We will be doing the decor and furnishings on a pretty tight budget.

Furniture layout is very intentional to allow for a large gathering space in the great room and a 13ft.  fireplace. The custom made dining table will fit all of the growing family, while the bunk-room will sleep a lot of grand-babies.

It has been super fun to take trips to Oregon to see the progress throughout the project.  We are almost at the finish line! Stay tuned!
